It's Hawaiian Night!

Want to be back on the islands of Hawaii but do not know what to make? Well nothing says more Hawaii than with Hawaiian Ve-G-Tapa Tocino!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Can – Tapa Tocino (cut into bite sizes)
  • 3 to 4 Tsps. – Olive Oil
  • 1 Tsp. – Brown Sugar
  • 2 to 3 Tsps. – Soy Sauce or Coconut Amino
  • 2 to 3 Tsps. – Ketchup
  • 2 to 3 Tsps. – Asia Sweet Chili Sauce (Maeploy)
  • 1 Tsp. – Asian Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tsp. – Ground Ginger
  • 1 Tsp. – Onion Powder
  • 1 Tsp. – Garlic Powder
  • ¼ Cup – Pineapple Juice

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Whisk all the ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add the Tapa Tocino.
  3. Remove 4 tablespoons of the marinate and keep it aside.
  4. Refrigerate the Tapa Tocino for 8 to 12 hours.
  5. Grill the Tapa Tocino until you achieve a few good chard edges. This should not take more than 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Use the 4 tablespoons of the marinate you separated for additional basting and flavor.
  7. Serve with grilled pineapple, cilantro rice, white rice, or brown rice.

Tips: make sure the Tapa Tocino is at room temperature before grilling. Properly oil the grill or use foil. Add the Tapa Tocino to the grill when the grill is hot.
