Want to Add Some Protein to Your Fried Rice?

Tired of just eating vegetables in your fried rice? Want a little more bite to it? Add some Ve-G-Tapa Tocino to the mix and you'll be like "why did I not think of this before?"

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Can – Tapa Tocino (cut bite size)
  • 1 – Carrot (medium size; chopped)
  • 10 to 12 – Green Beans (chopped)
  • ½ Cup – Cabbage (shredded)
  • ½ Cup – Green Peas
  • ½ - Onion (medium size; chopped)
  • 1 Tsp. – Garlic (chopped)
  • 2 to 3 Stalks – Green Onion (chopped)
  • 2 Cups – White Rice, Brown Rice, Quinoa, Cauliflower Rice, etc. (cooked)
  • 1-2 Tablespoons – Soy Sauce
  • Salt & Black Pepper to Taste

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add oil to your pan or wok.
  2. Add the bite-sized Tapa Tocino.
  3. Pan-fry the Tapa Tocino to desired crisp.
  4. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. Using the remaining oil, add garlic and onion and pan fry till a medium brown is achieved.
  6. Add the vegetables, except the green onions, and the Tapa Tocino.
  7. Mix it well.
  8. Add rice and soy sauce.
  9. Mix it well and add salt and pepper if needed.
  10. Serve with green onions as the garnish.
